Helicopters - the future of regional aviation?


Although the growth of the helicopter market is still mainly driven by the demand in the military sector, the civil market is steadily increasing its share in the segment due to the accelerating regional demand for helicopters in the global economy. For instance, manufacturers see the potential in expanding helicopter’s utilization in the regional air travel, as rotorcraft can offer faster connectivity without a need for costly development of the infrastructure. Helisota will support the Mi-17 fleet of the Latvian Armed Forces


Helisota, an international provider of integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul services for rotorcraft aviation, is further expanding its cooperation with European governmental operators by signing a Mi-17 technical support agreement with the Latvian National Armed Forces. The three years long agreement follows a successful conclusion of a tender announced by the Government of the Republic of Latvia in 2012.

Avia Solutions Group closed in on the Helisota acquisition


Avia Solutions Group, a WSE listed global provider of one-stop-shop aviation business solutions has announced receiving the green light in regards to concentration and successfully closing the acquisition of helicopter maintenance organization Helisota. Under the agreement, the group in series of transactions has acquired 100% of share capital in the Lithuanian-based organization. The aggregate value of the deal is over 12 mln. Litas, excluding the value of newly issued Avia Solutions Group shares.

Avia Solutions Group acquires a helicopter maintenance organization Helisota


Avia Solutions Group, a WSE listed global provider of one-stop-shop aviation business solutions, has announced about the recent acquisition of the controlling interest in the Lithuania-based helicopter maintenance organization Helisota. In the course of several takeover stages Avia Solutions Group will gain 96.2% of the company’s shares, some of them through acquiring directly from the company management and some - through transferring a number of newly issued Avia Solutions Group securities.
