Helisota UAB, certified as Maintenance and Training Organization

For the last few years, Helisota UAB has been trying to become an International level maintenance and training organization capable to prepare aviation specialists as there is no same level training facilities in the neighbouring states. Company has prepared training material, program, questionnaires, training guides and presented them to Lithuanian CAA for approval. All presented documents have been checked and approved.

On December 18, 2008, Lithuanian CAA has awarded a training facilities Certificate Nr. LT.147.005 to Helisota UAB It means that the Company became certified as Maintenance and Training Organization meeting Part No. 147 of the European Commission regulation that allows to conduct training and examine the students after which the students are delivered Recognition Certificates.

Helisota UAB is the only company in the Baltic States that has the right to conduct theoretical and practical course of MI-17 type Helicopter training.

In the description of the Approval by Lithuanian CAA there has been confirmed that Helisota UAB might conduct theoretical and practical training on Izotov TV-3 Engine (MI-17 type helicopter) for Categories B1 (mechanics) and B2 (avionics) and after exams deliver specialists the Recognition Certificates. That means that the Company was granted the international level right to train specialists for obtaining the Maintenance License for the given helicopter type. In addition, the Company as Part 147 training organization has the right to organize and conduct wide range training courses and issue certificates proving acquired knowledge.

In 2009, 8 employees of the Company have had theoretical and practical training on MI-17 type Helicopter that consisted of 120 hours of theoretical lectures and 4 months practical session. After exams, all the students have been delivered the certificates with addenda listing the subjects they were trained of.

Over the year 2009 Helisota UAB has organized 10 different courses of special training: ones of them were intended for the employees seeking to obtain higher professional category, the other ones – for the specialists of Company’s customers while seeking to train them for usage of newly installed equipment on the helicopters.In total, by January 15, 2010, Helisota UAB, has delivered 107 Recognition and Training Certificates.
